The Order of the Unbroken Line is a fellowship devoted to protecting the dignity of human inheritance.
We recognize that every person stands within an unbroken chain of life stretching across generations.
What we inherit shapes us, but what we choose becomes the inheritance of those who follow.
We therefore commit ourselves to truth, cultural understanding, and the protection of human dignity so that the line we pass forward is stronger than the one we received.
The Seven Principles
Principle of Inheritance
Every person stands within an unbroken chain of life.
We inherit the stories, wisdom, wounds, and choices of those who came before us. To understand ourselves honestly, we must acknowledge this inheritance
Principle of Responsibility
Inheritance is not destiny.
What we receive from the past shapes us, but our choices determine what will be passed forward. Each generation holds responsibility for the inheritance it leaves behind.
Principle of Human Dignity
Every human life carries inherent worth.
Systems or traditions that diminish the dignity of others must be questioned and transformed
Principle of Truth
Honest reckoning with history is necessary for moral progress.
We commit ourselves to seeking truth—even when it is uncomfortable—so that inherited harms are not repeated.
Principle of Cultural Humility
Wisdom is not the possession of a single culture or people.
We approach the knowledge and traditions of others with humility, curiosity, and respect.
Principle of Restoration
Harm can be acknowledged, confronted, and transformed.
We believe that healing is possible when individuals and communities take responsibility for repairing what has been broken.
Principle of Stewardship
We are temporary stewards of the human inheritance.
Our work is to strengthen the line of life so that those who come after us inherit a world more just, compassionate, and whole.
